okay so, I'm really shy, but deep down I have dreams of performing, though I feel I've wasted my life being too afraid to get up and do anything about it. I love to dance, sing, and act, but most of all I love my horses. They are the best things that have ever happened to me. I am a GEEK. Seriously, if I ever get interested in anything, I will research it like crazy and take notes.
^^ That was written forever ago, but I figure I'll leave it anyway to laugh at it.
I'm pretty much the same, though not quite as shy. After landing my first "major" audition at a wonderful nearby theatre, I've become much more my own person - theatre people are so accepting, well, most of them (ixnay on the obnoxious rabid fangirls that only know about Wicked, Legally Blonde and Spring Awakening and spend all their time on forums arguing over who's the best.)
I still have a hard time saying no and standing up to people, and I think I always will, so I'm usually bogged down with doing favours and working for little or no pay. Just as my life starts to slow down and I tell people that I'm free to do art requests (something I love to do - it's relaxing and it makes me use my imagination and memory) - there is always a curveball being thrown right behind it and somehow, I'm between the bat and its target. So, to people that are in the "requestee" category, I do not forget about you, it's just sometimes I'm trying to squeeze a gazillion things into one day . . .
Yes, I do have brain cancer. No, I do not want pity from anyone. It is not the first thing that I tell people and friends that know me are not even aware of the fact that I'm going for treatment or that I'm quite bald - thank you theatre costume department for the use of your wig.
